Ed began creating video games for the Atari 800 in the early 1980s. In 1986, he joined Microsoft as an early developer of Excel and Word. Pursuing his passion for interactive entertainment, he founded Microsoft Game Studios, where he expanded the team to over 1200 people, published 100+ games, and co-founded the Xbox project. In 2019, Ed co-founded 1Up Ventures to support independent game developers globally.
