During his quarter-century with RRE Ventures, Jim has concentrated on emerging enterprise technologies, particularly in financial services. He has led investments in companies like Avant, NerdWallet, and OnDeck. Prior to RRE, Jim was known for his role as CEO and Chairman of American Express, steering the company through major transformations from 1977 to 1993. He also worked in executive roles at White Weld & Co. and Morgan Guaranty Trust Company.
