Tim Chae
Managing Partner
In 2016, he was honored as part of the inaugural Forbes Asia “30 Under 30” in Finance and Venture Capital. Before joining 500 Startups, he founded a few startups—both bootstrapped and venture-backed—including PostRocket, a social marketing tool supported by 500 Startups, which unfortunately folded after four years. He also worked as an associate at Romulus Capital, an early-stage VC firm based in Boston. Dropped out of Babson College to pursue entrepreneurship full-time. His early entrepreneurial work led to his recognition as one of the Youth Entrepreneurs of the Year by NFIB and the McKelvey Foundation in 2009. Became one of the youngest VCs at the age of 19 and later became a General Partner by 23, founding 500 Startups Korea.
